Time Flies: Mid-2026 Art Adventures, New Beginnings, and Donkey Shenanigans
June kicked off an incredible new chapter for me with the launch of Chroma, a groundbreaking art education program developed and taught in Florence, Italy. I’m honored to be part of the Founders Group — the very first cohort of artists enrolled in this exciting new program.
The curriculum dives deep into the principles of color and design while exploring the rich history of art education. I’ve been completely immersed, dedicating over 20 hours a week to Zoom classes for the past five weeks, and I’m thrilled to continue this creative journey for at least the next year. The excitement I feel every time I log in is hard to describe — I’m truly over the moon.
In addition to my Chroma studies, I’ve been feeding my artistic soul with travel and plein air painting. I recently visited both Colorado and Santa Fe, where I painted alongside talented artist friends. There’s nothing quite like creating in new landscapes and exchanging ideas with fellow creatives.
Come See the New Work!
If you’re in the area, I’d love for you to stop by the First Friday Art Walk at Subset. You’ll find several of my newest pieces on display. It’s always a joy to share fresh work and connect with the community in person.
Back at the ranch, life is equally vibrant. Our garden has been thriving thanks to generous rains and my ongoing deep dive into permaculture practices. The harvest has been sweet — both literally and figuratively.
We’ve also welcomed two very special new residents: Paintball and Penelope, the sweetest donkeys you’ll ever meet. We rescued them from a difficult situation, and they’ve settled beautifully into ranch life. They live right next door to the garden, where they happily accept scratches behind the ears and munch on fresh weeds.
