I apologize for missing your note back in January—I was recovering from a new hip replacement. I’m happy to report it’s improving every day.
If you’re ever facing joint decisions and could use some guidance, I highly recommend Relief/Today and Dr. Keith Bjork—they’ve been fantastic.
Recovery has a way of giving me extra time to fill, so I’ve been scrolling social media a bit too much… which resulted in not one, but two new puppies joining the household!
As an artist surrounded by artist friends, I spent a lot of that time drawing. My friends kept me busy with encouragement (or gentle harassment—depending on the day!). It was wonderful to have their support.
Our twin granddaughters are playing basketball for the first time, and I’m deeply involved—attending practices and cheering at games. I love the sport, and watching these budding athletes is pure joy.
There’s a lot happening in the art world right now. A new pastel show just opened at Sunset, and I have several new works included. This Friday is First Friday Art Walk, and I’ll share a fun surprise with you soon.
The Route 66 Plein Air event is gaining momentum—artists from New Mexico and Texas will be painting to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of Route 66. The wheels are definitely rolling!
We’re also planning an exciting live horse workshop with the talented Sarah Phippen in July at the ranch. Our horses will serve as models—they love the attention (and especially the apples and treats!).
Several more shows and workshops are in the works—I’ll fill you in on the details later.

Friday Night Art Walk – Arts in the Sunset
